About the Workshop

Join us in Part 4 of 4 of 'Release Body Tension' yoga series. In this session, we will flow through a repeated flow of gentle bends and practice the breath of joy as we move into the remainder of our day.

This yoga series will focus on awakening the body and releasing common spot tension areas. As we are home more we tend to be less active possibly resulting in stiff joints, tight muscles and accumulation of stress. It is important to learn and practice ways to prevent these unwanted outcomes. Yoga has been known to offer various health benefits, both physically and mentally. Unfortunately, myths surrounding yoga and self-care in general still exist. In this series we will explore together how we can apply yoga off the mat and into our daily lives. 

What to Bring: Dress in comfortable clothing, yoga mat. 

About our Host: 

Angelique Benois has over 18 years nursing experience, both in Canada and internationally. She holds a degree in Psychology, a Master’s of Science in Nursing and completed her Nurse Practitioner degree, specializing in mental health. In 2017, she received a Worldwide Leader in Healthcare nursing award from the International Nurses Association for her contribution to the profession.

Trained as a Yoga Instructor in Goa, India, Angelique now combines her extensive mental health clinical background with her yoga expertise through her business titled: Nurturing Our Wellbeing (N.O.W) where she offers integrated corporate wellness workshops (www.nurturingourwellbeing.com). Angelique is trained in Mindfulness Stress Reduction Therapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and various forms of breath-work. Angelique is a mother of a busy 7-year-old who can appreciate the challenges of flowing with parenthood and being a successful entrepreneur working from home. One of Angelique’s favorite activities is travelling the world to learn cultures and remind herself of all the possibilities the world has to offer.
