About the Workshop
In this session, our seasoned Artisan, Laurie Poirier, will be using a 20 gauge wire and an undrilled stone to create a pendant. If you do not have 20 gauge wire or stone, this technique can be adapted to use other types of wire and objects such as sea shells, sharks tooth, Sea Glass, and even Acorns!
Tools and material needed: Round nose pliers, Cutter, **Flat Nose pliers are good, but we can get alone without, Wire, Stone.
This session will include:
- Laurie will demonstrate how to create a a wire stone pendant
- Time to socialize with a group of Boomerang Members online
There are no tools or materials provided with this workshop. Laurie is an expert and has worked with various different types of jewellery. She is looking to share her knowledge and expertise with you.
About our Host:
Laurie is a Toronto Artisan who has been crafting in various forms since childhood. As an adult, she began teaching paper crafting and through that found her passion for teaching jewellery to all ages.
Laurie has taught children in schools to seniors in Church groups. Her classes range from Jewellery 101 to more advanced Chainmaille and Wire working.
Laurie has been selling at craft shows for the past ten years and teaching for the past eight years at Michael's, John Bead Outlet, Gem Expo, Craftandian, Toronto Public Libraries, Home Parties and her own private home studio.
