About the Workshop

Join Sheila Doris at Toronton Public Library's - Northern District branch for a two-hour fifteen minute workshop on creating a healthier and happier home. In this session, we will start with how to change the energy in our rooms and calm or energize our selves with colour. We will touch on colour psychology and give you information to further explore on your specific “colour personality”.

Next you will be introduced to the concept of “Biophilia” and using this to create feel-good spaces by borrowing from our connection to nature.

We will move on to look at how our sense of smell gives us the power to affect our emotions and explore which scents soothe, uplift or invigorate us with Environmental Aromatherapy.

Wrapping up you will hear the science research about how vital sleep is to our health and ways we can design bedrooms/bathrooms to reduce stress and optimize our sleep quality to re-invigorate us. Mattress & pillow design, light levels, colour and Zen elements will be covered.

This workshop showcases how Décor choices re-balance us, contribute to health, and evoke positive energy in our homes.
