About the Workshop

Join us for a Pottery Workshop in partnership with LucSculpture Art Studios! In this workshop you will learn the steps to make mugs, bowls, and vases on the pottery wheel. This three-hour session is great for couples, friends and perfect for beginners. During the first two hours, you will use the wheel and create with the guidance of a teacher. In the last hour, you will finish up your pieces, learn how to add handles for mugs, use under-glaze and any other details necessary to finish your pieces.

Pottery might seem like a difficult thing to learn when you are drinking from your favourite mug or putting flowers in a vase, but rest assured, Noel from LucSculpture is a very capable and nurturing instructor, who will competently show you the basics. You might just surprise yourself with your own hidden talent for making useful and beautiful things with clay.

This workshop is for people of all skill levels. This is a great opportunity for beginners and skilled potters to join our community and develop your skills in this unique and beautiful art form. No experience necessary. We would love to see you!

Important: You will be able to create as many objects as you like in the 3 hour period. At the end, you will choose your favourite 3 creations. These will then be stored at LucSculpture to dry for 2-3 weeks. Boomerang will connect you with LucSculpture to set-up a second appointment, free of charge, to glaze your items.

Accessibility Level: Moderate. The main entrance to this venue has 4-5 steps. The workshop is on the second floor which is only accessible via stairs (10 steps). The washroom is on the same level as the workshop floor.
