About the Workshop
In this session, our seasoned Artisan, Laurie Poirier, will demonstarte how to create a Mobius Flower Chainmaille Bracelet. In this class you will learn how to open and close a Jumpring and how to create a Mobius Flower from chainmaille links. This is a simple beginner class so anyone can learn the methods and then go on to learn more intricate weaves!
Guests have the option to follow along and create their own bracelets in real time as Laurie provides step by step instructions OR feel free to just watch and create later!
Tools and materials you need for creating your own bracelets:
2 pair flat nose pliers (No teeth if possible)
18g 5/32 AA Aluminum Jump Rings
18g 1/4 AA Aluminum Jump Rings
1 Lobster clasp

About our Host: Laurie is a Toronto Artisan who has been crafting in various forms since childhood. As an adult, she began teaching paper crafting and through that found her passion for teaching jewellery to all ages. Laurie has taught children in schools to seniors in Church groups. Her classes range from Jewellery 101 to more advanced Chainmaille and Wire working. Laurie has been selling at craft shows for the past ten years and teaching for the past eight years at Michael's, John Bead Outlet, Gem Expo, Craftandian, Toronto Public Libraries, Home Parties and her own private home studio.
Accessibility Level: Easy. This workshop can be accessed online through our Boomerang at Home online feature. This is a video conference experience that can be accessed via Mobile, iPad, and Computer devices.
