This meditation series will move participants through various guided meditations and breathing strategies to move towards overall improved mental health, well-being, and connectedness. Come together with like-minded individuals to nurture your mind-body connection.
Part 1 - Focus & Patience
If we can train our minds to keep attention on the most mundane thing, such as our breathing for long periods of time, it will serve as a transferable skill for our work life, or school life. In this busy world, learning ways to get focused and clear our minds is essential to our mental health and overall well-being.
It is not required that you attend each session of this series.
What to Bring: Dress in comfortable clothing, chair or yoga mat/rug
Level: ALL Welcome. Open to new meditators and seasoned practitioners.
About our Host:
Angelique Benois has over 18 years nursing experience, both in Canada and internationally. She holds a degree in Psychology, a Master’s of Science in Nursing and completed her Nurse Practitioner degree, specializing in mental health. In 2017, she received a Worldwide Leader in Healthcare nursing award from the International Nurses Association for her contribution to the profession.
Trained as a Yoga Instructor in Goa, India, Angelique now combines her extensive mental health clinical background with her yoga expertise through her business titled: Nurturing Our Wellbeing (N.O.W) where she offers integrated corporate wellness workshops (www.nurturingourwellbeing.com). Angelique is trained in Mindfulness Stress Reduction Therapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and various forms of breath-work. Angelique is a mother of a busy 7-year-old who can appreciate the challenges of flowing with parenthood and being a successful entrepreneur working from home. One of Angelique’s favorite activities is travelling the world to learn cultures and remind herself of all the possibilities the world has to offer.
Accessibilityl: Easy. This workshop can be accessed online through our Boomerang at Home online feature. This is a video conference experience that can be accessed via Mobile, iPad, and Computer devices.
