Landscape Acrylic Painting Workshop
Time & Location
About the Workshop
We’re all starting to see the leaves change colour, the greens changing to tapestries of gold, red, orange, yellow and every imaginable hue in between. Why not try to capture some of this beauty with a brush? You don’t need to have experience with painting, or with oils or acrylics. This workshop is a great way to learn how to take the pictures in your head - or on your phone or camera - and put them on a canvas to share with family and friends. You’ll leave with a piece you can continue to work on, display proudly in your home for years to come, or even give away as a gift to a loved one. Why not join us? Maybe painting is your new hobby, or maybe not. This Saturday’s workshop might just be the best way to find out!
This workshop is designed to offer a learning experience in oil painting or acrylic painting in a systematic and structured format. Step-by-step demonstrations show how to plan a painting, block in the composition, observe the light, atmosphere, the colour of objects and colour of shadows. By mastering the technical aspects of the medium you will gain confidence and skills to paint a picture of which you will be proud.
Students can use reference photos provided or bring in their own photos to work from. Any level of the painter is welcome to join, from beginner to advanced painters.
