About the Workshop
If you already know how to knit and are looking for something challenging to add to your knitting skills, join us for a Spring Thing Shawl knit-along. We will review casting on; increasing and decreasing and an icord edge/optional tassels to complete your project.
Part 2: Spring Thing Shawl - Decreases
Once the half way point has been reached, decreases and garter stitch to the complete the balance of the shawl will be discussed and knitting time shared. The homework will be to complete the balance of the knitting of the shawl. There will be open knitting time to work on the shawl and discuss any knitting issues that arise.
Experience level: Intermediate to Advanced
Materials you will need (we cannot provide these):
- Project Pattern (supplied by Boomerang)
- 400y of fingering weight yarn of main colour
- 87y of fingering weight contrasting colour
- 4mm, 5mm and 6mm circular needles
Your local arts & crafts, knitting & crochet stores should have these available. If you're in Toronto, we encourage you to order from our partner and the host's store, Spin Me a Yarn, for curbside pick-up or neighbourhood delivery.
