About the Workshop

One year ago, Lucsculpture School & Studios decided to support a small new start up (us). They graciously granted our community access to their space and instructors to participate in pottery, painting, and jewellery workshops over the last year. Today, we want to support them and their artists during these unprecedented times. We're excited to announce that we will be offering weekly online experiences led by the very skilled, Lucsculpture artists. You can check out more of their online courses here.

This workshop is a response to the uncertain times were in, offering a gentle holding space for you to slow down and calm your nervous system using mindfulness and arts-based techniques. We will focus on cultivating presence and staying curious about what emerges on your journey rather than a finished product, stick figures and scribbles are perfectly fine!

The general structure is that there will be a guided mindfulness meditation followed by intentional and playful art-making and some discussion.

Materials & Tools needed to participate (we cannot mail or provide these):

  • Pen
  • Paper
  • Watercolour
  • Pastels (anything to colour)
