About the Workshop
Making fresh bread at home is an understated luxury especially during this current health climate! Making bread at home is a skill anyone should have because with the correct techniques, the process is so simple. In this online workshop, she will teach you how to make Focaccia Barese. This Italian bread has been made differently in every region of Italy, but in Bari - they add a special secret ingredient which gives their version a crispy exterior and a soft & pillowy interior. It is an absolute treat and super easy to make at home. Join us online for an afternoon of learning and virtual baking!
Guests have the option to follow along and create their own bread in real time as Shiela provides step by step instructions OR feel free to just watch and create later! A recipe sheet with ingredients will be shared with you a few days in advance of the online workshop.

About our Host:
Shiela Labao is a self-taught baker of over 10 years – so you can say that she’s had a lot of practice baking for fun. Realizing that her passion and skills can bring a community together, she decided to get a bit more serious and start baking for a purpose. Shiela has completed professional classes at George Brown College. Always focusing on the science behind the baking.
