Crochet: That's a Wrap! (Part 4 of 4)
Time & Location
About the Workshop
That's A Wrap! In this intermediate to advanced crochet workshop, we'll discuss making shawls and how to shape them. Working on the hugely popular Virus Shawl (named because it literally went viral as soon as the first one appeared on social media), participants will learn all about crochet charts, how to read them and how to create a beautiful shawl or wrap in the process.
Part 4:
When we meet up for the third workshop, participants will have had a chance to work on their shawls and can bring any questions about the pattern to this installment. We'll go over everyone's questions and make sure that all are ready to successfully continue on and finish with their work.
Experience level: Intermediate to Advanced
Materials you will need (we cannot provide these):
- 200 g of fingering/sock weight yarn
- 3.5 mm crochet hook
Your local arts & crafts, knitting & crochet stores should have these available. If you're in Toronto, we encourage you to order from our partner, Spin Me a Yarn, for curbside pick-up or neighbourhood delivery.
About our Host:
Many years ago while homeschooling, Terri was looking for a quiet, creative hobby to do alongside her daughter while she worked on her lessons.
What began as something to pass the time turned into a passion for all fibre arts. With her daughter all grown up, Terri found herself in love with knitting, crochet, embroidery, quilting and anything else that involves wool, thread or fabric and wanted to share her skills with everyone! She's both worked at and taught in several local yarn shops in Toronto over the years and happily converts anyone that's willing into a fellow fibre lover.
Accessibility Level: Easy. This workshop can be accessed online through our Boomerang at Home online feature. This is a video conference experience that can be accessed via Mobile, iPad, and Computer devices.
