About the Workshop
Our lives are made of Stories. Whether we’re sharing conversations with friends, telling stories to our kids or grandkids, writing status updates on social media, blogging, writing newsletters, or fully structured short stories and novels, plays, screenplays, etc.; the art and craft of storytelling is a Creative Force guiding and shaping how we connect and share who we are and how we live. Our host, Shomee Chakrabartty, will guide you and help you create captivating and compelling stories, in whichever medium you want to work.
- Using “The Hero’s Journey” as a staring point and way to structure your story, he will help you create your story, step by step, in ways that are meaningful, inspiring, and provocative.
- Learn how to identify your audience: who you want to tell your story to, and how best to reach them.
- And identify for yourself, why you want to tell this story; why is it important for you to share it, and what medium will serve you best.
Every story contributes and adds a new perspective to our world, what will your story be? No experience required. Writing materials are included with your ticket.
