About the Workshop
In this session, our seasoned Artisan, Laurie Poirier, will demonstarte how to create Kumihimo bracelets. Kumihimo or as most people call it, Kumi is an ancient Japanese Weaving technique. We will send a template prior to the session so that you will be able to make a loom yourself. The only other thing you will need is some yarn, string, whatever you can find! You can even use some shoelaces and then take it apart after.
Guests have the option to follow along and create their own bracelets in real time as Laurie provides step by step instructions OR feel free to just watch and create later!
Tools and materials you need for creating your own earrings:
Yarn, Cardboard scissors Template
2 colours of rats tail if you have it! Use yarn to practice
Tube of #11 seed beads
Package of 18g 5/32 jumprings
